AULAAD DRAMA REVIEW: MOST HEART TOUCHING SCENES- 4- MONI'S DEATH, EPISODE 19-20

MOONI was Jalal Ahmed's youngest kid and had a mental disability, thus she was everyone's favourite until her brothers married. Mooni's best buddy among all the siblings was Bilal. Muskaan, Bilal's spouse, did not want her husband to be close to his family and tried to keep him away from them after they married. Mooni wishes Bilal to spend more time with her as he used to, and Bilal pays for Mooni's medications, but his wife forbids him from doing so since she wants him to focus solely on her.

Muskaan stole her mother-in-law's gold set, which Mooni only witnessed while she was doing that. Muskaan forbade her from telling anybody, but when Mooni's mother began investigating everyone about the missing set, she revealed to her mother that Muskaan had taken it. Muskaan denied the allegation and stated that Mooni is crazy, which infuriated her. She takes advantage of this and begins tormenting her further, which causes Mooni to assault her. Bilal was head over heels in love with his wife. On the advice of her wife, he decides to commit Mooni to a mental asylum. And he literally dragged her to the ambulance.

This all happened in front of Khurram (the eldest son), but he not only didn’t intervene, but also prevented his wife from doing so, so that the burden of Mooni does not fall on him. The annoyance in this scene reflect the harsh realities of our society.

Mooni was mistreated by the staff at the mental asylum, which resulted in her death. She was given a high-intensity injection without the consent of physicians, and which is what happens to patients in a psychiatric institution: they are not given the attention they require. Mooni's father, Jalal Ahmed, was in Lahore at the time Mooni was admitted to the asylum. Bilal didn't even wait for his father's return.
